House Paint Undercoat QuestionShould I apply and undercoat or just start with acrylic top coat? By John Mount from Australia on September 26, 2005 Category: House Paint Online Hi ! I'm painting the outside of a house I recently purchased. It has not had a coat of paint for many years. After cutting out patches of rot back to the good wood and sanding back I have now applied two coats of oil-based primer. One painter advises to go straight to an acrylic top coat while another advises to use an undercoat first - before applying the top coats- what do you think? Regards, John M. |
