refurbishing a patio table top

Several years ago I purchased a very nice metal patio table with a tempered embossed glass top. Even though the table was stored out of the elements, we found the glass shattered when we brought it outside for use this year. The frame is very well made and i would like to make a new table top for it other than glass. I had considered wood or mosaic tile but don't have any instructions or ideas about how to make it and then preserve it for outdoor use. Do you have any suggestions? |
