Care Seal with a wood sealer labeled suitable for cork, to prevent penetration by water or grease, both of which will damage it. Avoid use of sharp objects which will gouge it.
Cleaning Clean only with solvent-base cleaners, following label directions, or solvent-based cleaning waxes, as for wood. Wax only with solvent-based wax which must be buffed with an electric buffer. Read label, and follow cautions when using solvents: adequate ventilation, and no flame or spark in area.
