Avoid long contact with acid and alkali. Protective kitchen cleaning wax can be applied to the surface to keep it from soiling.
Use sudsy water, rinse, wipe dry. Avoid abrasives or metal scouring pads. Spray-on and wipe-off cleaners may damage some painted finishes, as may chlorine bleach, ammonia or other home chemicals.
Avoid contact with hot pans, cigarettes, or other hot objects.
