I have a 20 year old sofa and loveseat that want to change the color of.

Is it possible to paint or dye the fabric....it is a dusty rose and I would like it to end up a sand or tan color.


Also,

I have dining room chairs I want to recover....they are high back chairs bought 5 years ago (they took a beating with my kids)

There is a frame aroung the back of the chair and it seems that the material has been pushed into a groove in this frame and a piping has been installed to give it a finished look.

How do I go about changing the fabric on the chair back? Was it glued in or are there special tools that are needed?
