fabric used in old rockers

I am looking for a fabric that was used years ago on chairs. It is a beige color and has holds in it. It was used on old rockers and kitchen chairs. It has the appearance almost of a basket weave and is stiff. It was held on the chair with pegs. Please help me. Thank You
