After reflooring my kitchen I took the fridge out thru the old 36" walkway into the dining room and it barely fit. Actually, I had to take off the moulding for more room. Now after the kitchen project is finished, I want to leave the side moulding/trim off the entrance way for more room, but still making it attractive by converting the square top into an archway. I think that cultured stone would be too heavy as I finished my fireplace with that last year. After not being able to find arch inserts at any big box retailers, I'm thinking a Stucco or Foam Styrotrim product might be easier, but not sure how to blend a foam/stucco product with the drywall edge. What do you think?
